Outside the comfort zone

Day 5

“Look, Thea,” says the 5-year-old daughter of a friend, “I can already paint houses and dogs!”. And now she wants to learn to draw cats and chairs and if I can show her how to. Of course I can! I smile at the little artist because she reminds me of myself. I also thought that at some point I would have learned to draw the entire inventory of the world. But as it turned out, the inventory is pretty huge. So huge that I painted 90% of the fruits / vegetables in my latest painting for the first time. But that’s exactly what interests me: always painting a little bit outside my comfort zone and risking that I can’t master it. If it doesn’t work, I brush the pigments and try it again or something else.Do you dare to leave your comfort zone?
