Hände zu malen ist nicht einfach…. aber lernbar!

Was aber ist denn so schwierig an Händen? Für mich war es die Beziehung und Lage der einzelnen Finger und Gelenke zueinander. Mir hilft es immer das «Problem» in Einzelschritte zu zerlegen und es technisch anzugehen.

Eine Hand ist eine Art mechanischer Apparat. Handfläche, Finger und Daumen mit ihren jeweiligen Gelenken stehen in einem bestimmten Verhältnis zueinander. Diese Art der Vorzeichnung hat mir sehr geholfen:

Der zweite Punkt, der mir schwierig erschien, ist die Hautfarbe. Dass es nicht Schweinchenrosa ist war mir klar. Aber was dann? Interessanterweise habe ich als ersten Versuch eine Palette in Gelb-Braun-Tönen herausgesucht, aber da hat meinen europäischen Hauttyp nicht wirklich getroffen.

Erstaunt musste ich feststellen, dass weisslich-lila eine gute Wahl ist. Hier könnt ihr die Palette sehen:

Ich muss sagen, dass ich Gefallen gefunden habe am Hände-Zeichnen.

Painting hands

Painting hands is not easy…. but it can be learned!

But what is so difficult about hands? For me it was the relationship and position of the individual fingers and joints to each other. It always helps me to break down the “problem” into individual steps and approach it technically.

A hand is a kind of mechanical apparatus. The palm, fingers and thumb with their respective joints are in a certain relationship to each other. This kind of preliminary sketching helped me a lot:

The second point that seemed difficult to me is the skin color. That it is not piggy pink was clear to me. But what then? Interestingly, I picked out a palette in yellow-brown tones as a first try, but that didn’t really match my European skin type.

Surprised I had to realize that whitish-purple is a good choice. Here you can see the palette:
